About Piper Dow

Piper Dow is an author whose stories weave together mystery, magic, and grace. A lifelong storyteller, she has been spinning tales since she could talk and writing them down since she first learned how. Today, she channels that same imaginative spark into cozy fantasy mysteries and contemporary Christian fantasy filled with heart, hope, and a touch of the extraordinary.

Before becoming a novelist, Piper spent fourteen years working at her local newspaper, honing the curiosity and narrative instinct that now shape her fiction. When she finally turned to writing books, she brought with her a deep love of character-driven stories and the belief that even the smallest moments can carry enchantment.

Piper is a creator in every sense. She quilts, sews, crochets, and crafts; she explores nature (despite nature’s occasional attempts to sabotage her efforts); she plays the violin; and she is a talented photographer. Above all, she is an enthusiastic consumer of stories — reading them, listening to them, and gathering inspiration anywhere it can be found.

Her work includes:
Buttonwood Bay Mysteries, a cozy fantasy mystery series set in a magical corner of New England; and
Fighting in Shadows, a contemporary Christian fantasy series featuring shapeshifters, hidden worlds, and the unbreakable strength of family.

Whether she’s behind a camera lens, a sewing machine, or a keyboard, Piper is endlessly drawn to the way magic lingers in ordinary life — and she invites readers to step into worlds where wonder, mystery, and meaning intertwine.
